Oracle Spatial Editing

Cadastral Mapping Configuration edits data in any standard Oracle Spatial environment through the Oracle Connector in Bentley Map or extracts, edits, and posts to Oracle Spatial via the Bentley Geospatial Server.

Cadastral Mapping Configuration works with Oracle Spatial in two modes; with Oracle topology and without Oracle topology. Setting up your schema to work with or without Oracle topology is explained in the Creating and Editing Schemas section. Also, see the Working with Oracle Data section for details on how to prepare for topology editing in an Oracle non-topology spatial environment.

Cadastral Mapping Configuration is able to access nodes, edges, and faces that reside within an Oracle database and keeps the topology model intact. Cadastral Mapping Configuration can maintain the topological relationships defined and stored in the Oracle Spatial database because Cadastral Mapping Configuration's topology model is based on the Oracle Spatial model. Cadastral Mapping Configuration edits data directly in any standard Oracle Spatial environment or extracts, edits, and posts to Oracle Spatial via the Bentley Geospatial Server.

See Working with Oracle Spatial for additional information.
